Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their client's innovative team in Fremont, CA. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the design, development, and testing of complex electrical systems and components. The role requires a talented individual who can effectively apply advanced engineering principles to ensure safety and performance standards are met while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position is full-time, with work hours from Monday to Friday, 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Modify or design electrical assemblies, layouts/schematics, and detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope.
- Develop and integrate controls for multi-axis motion and wafer handling systems.
- Conduct electrical component selection and cable/harness design.
- Troubleshoot a variety of complex electrical problems in engineering and production environments.
- Collaborate with system, mechanical, and software engineers to define design requirements, generate product specifications, and develop electrical subsystems.
- Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests.
- Generate technical documentation for product release.
- Deliver full engineering packages and support manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition into mass production.
- Solve challenging engineering problems by characterizing components, designing/prototyping control systems, circuits, schematics, etc.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience.
- Experience with robots and wafer handling systems and components.
- Experience in industrial control and communication (PLC, Ether CAT, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of design standards including (UL/CSA/FCC, S2/S8/F47/CE).
- Team-oriented problem solver with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical.
- Sound technical knowledge of electrical and electromechanical concepts and applications - components, schematics, electrical systems, cable, and harness.
- Experience with Engineering change management (ECR/ECO) process using PLM/ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Semiconductor Capital Equipment industry.
- Deep experience designing industrial equipment power systems, including transformer selection, facility power integration, grounding strategies, and fault protection schemes.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 10% international travel.
Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $185,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including employee stock ownership and a collaborative team environment.
